ZANZIBAR SAFARI

Day 1: Arrive Zanzibar

Upon arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, you will be met by our representative holding a paging board and you will be transferred to your Beach Hotel. Rest of the afternoon will be at Leisure.  

Dinner will be served followed by overnight.

Day 2: Zanzibar + Stone town Spice tour

Breakfast will be served at your hotel in Zanzibar. At the agreed time with our representative, you will be met and you will go for a Stone town Spice tour.

1.STONE TOWN – feel the history in the walls

Stone Town and its buildings are full of history and stories of the ancient times when Sultans, Arabs, Europeans and Zanzibaris wrote the history of this beautiful island. You will visit the Anglican Cathedral and the Slave markets, the Palace of the Sultans, Tip Tip’s House, the Old Arabic Fort, Forodhani Park and of course you will see many of the famous Zanzibar Doors while walking in the petite streets. We will show you Henna Art and bring you to the fruit and vegetable market.

2. SPICE TOUR – Zanzibar for mouth and nose

During your tour on our community supported Spice Farm ZITO you will get an interesting insight in the wealth of Zanzibar’s spices. From Cinnamon Tree with 3 different flavors to lemongrass, cloves or nutmeg tree, our island deserves its name as Spice Island. You have also the opportunity to learn the Swahili way of cooking, fruit tasting with home grown seasonal fruits and buy spices fresh from the farm.

Lunch can be taken at Zito Restaurant –Payable directly before you head back to your hotel in Zanzibar.

Dinner will be served at the hotel followed by overnight.

Day 3: Zanzibar –Fly to Saadani National Park

09:40hrs Flight to Saadani National Park from Zanzibar.  Meet and greet at the airstrip by the lodge representative. Lunch will be served, afternoon game drive in a shared vehicle with other lodge clients booked on package if any….

Along the coast of Indian ocean in Tanzania, lies one of the most beautiful Park, Saadani. 

Saadani National Park was of officially a National Park in 2005 from the former Saadani game reserve. Being the only National Park that harbors both marine and terrestrial habitats, Saadani has plenty of marine life and large numbers of wild animals. It is not surprising to encounter wild animals on the beach in this coastal park. Saadani is one of the fewer breeding site for endangered Green Sea Turtles and the only Tanzania Park to protect the mangrove forest. The coastal forest in this unique park harbors rare species of Black and white Colobus Monkeys. Visitor to this place will have an opportunity to do a game drive in the savannah part of the park and enjoy the beautiful unspoiled beach that lies within the Park. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Saadani National Park 

Early morning game drive. After breakfast river safari and back to the lodge for Lunch (if they stay at Saadani safari Lodge) and with packed lunch if they stay at Simply Saadani and continue with game drive. In the afternoon return to the Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Saadani National Park – Zanzibar 

After breakfast, game en-route Beach before being transferred to airstrip to connect with your morning flight at 11 :05 to Zanzibar. 

Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met by our representative and he will transfer you to your hotel of stay in Zanzibar. Lunch will be payable directly. Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by overnight.

Day 6: Zanzibar + prison Island visit

Breakfast will be served at your hotel. At the agreed time with our representative, we will go for the prison Island tour .. PRISON ISLAND – quarantine hospital and giant turtles

Prison Island is so called because of its first usage as a prison, which was built in 1893. But in fact, it was later used as a quarantine hospital and is nowadays the home to the giant tortoises which were banned from the city of Stone Town. Enjoy a 30-minute boat ride with a view of the Stone Town Skyline, after arriving on Prison Island your guide will teach you the history and introduce you to the giant tortoises

Our representative will recommend somewhere you can have lunch, payable directly before you head back to your hotel in Zanzibar. Dinner will be served at the hotel followed by overnight.

Day 7: Zanzibar –Fly back home

Check out from the Hotel at 1000Hrs which is the normal check out time. You could relax at the hotel awaiting your transfer timings to the Airport. Lunch /dinner if any today will be served directly.

At the agreed time based on your international flight, our representative will meet you and he will transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight back home.

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory in Zanzibar +

Please be informed that, starting from October 1, 2024, after official communication from the Government of Zanzibar, all foreign visitors to Zanzibar are required to purchase a mandatory travel insurance policy. This insurance is designed to protect the visitors during their stay. 

The insurance must be purchased online before arrival, and it is available at a cost of $44 per person. You can obtain the required insurance through the official website: visitzanzibar.go.tz/.

We recommend completing this purchase prior to travel to ensure a smooth entry into Zanzibar.
